(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after a Lawrence County officer stopped him for a traffic violation Saturday and police found more than 8 grams of meth.
48-year-old Jude Thompson was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while never licensed and possession of meth with the intent to deal.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, Thompson was stopped at 14th and I Street just before 5 p.m.
During the traffic stop a police K-9 alerted officers of possible drugs in the vehicle. Craig says officers found a white-crystal-powdery substance that tested positive for meth.
