(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after police say he was in a fight with is son.
35-year-old Gary McFadden was arrested after police were called to his home in the 270 block of Leatherwood Road Monday at 9:10 p.m.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, when officers arrived McFadden and his son were involved in a verbal confrontation.
"Officers separated the parties and asked Mr. McFadden repeatedly to calm down," Craig says. "He continued to be loud and belligerent and officers again asked him to stop. He refused and officers placed him under arrest."
McFadden was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to jail.
