Bedford Man Arrested After Battering 12-Year-Old

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly grabbed a 12-year-old family member by the shoulders and neck and shook her.

Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig says officers were called to a home in the 100 block of Hoosier Park just after 7 p.m. Monday night.

The juvenile told police what happened and then signed a battery affidavit.

The injuries did not need immediate medical attention.

Police arrested 42-year-old Salvador Delfierro on a charge of battery on a minor

Craig says Child Services was contacted and they are investigating the incident.
