Last updated on Wednesday, January 8, 2014

(BEDFORD) - Tracking Turkeys will take place on Wednesday, January 15 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 pm at the Bedford Public Library Children Services Department.

Kids can drop by to learn how to recognize the tracks and signs that a turkey leaves behind and make a turkey craft to take home.

The event is recommended for ages 5 to 12.

Then at 6 p.m. There will be an Animal's Winter Pantry in the Program Room.

Participants will meet three animals that are masters at food caching: The Eastern Chipmunk aka the Packer, the Gray Squirrel, the Deceiver, and the Blue Jay aka The Mover.

Monroe Lake's naturalist will discover the why, what, where and how behind their food storage strategies and how humans can have a similar experience. The program will last 45 minutes
