(ORLEANS) - A fire caused extensive damage to a turkey barn on County Road 200 East in Orleans in September 2013.
According to Rural District II Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bill Sallee the fire at Riverview Farms damaged a large portion of the barn and killed thousands of young turkeys.
Sallee says, the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
Firefighters from Rural District II and Vallonia VFD, not only had to battle the flames but intense heat.
