Last updated on Wednesday, January 29, 2014

(OOLITIC) - One person suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon after a three vehicle collision on Ind. 37 at the Oolitic stop light.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 45-year-old Julia Risen of Oolitic and 31-year-old Reve Arce of Mitchell were both stopped in the southbound turn lane of Ind. 37 waiting to turn east onto Main Street in Oolitic when 26-year-old Benton Fluke of Bloomington veered into the turn lane with his 2004 Volkswagen Jetta.

Fluke told police he took his eyes off the road and when he looked back up he realized the turn lane light was red and his Volkswagen hit Arce's 2010 Toyota 4-Runner in the rear, which caused the 4-Runner to hit the rear of Risen's 2011 Chevrolet Cruze in the rear.

Risen and Fluke were not injured, but Arce complained of head and neck pain and was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
