(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Police Department recently obtained a grant from Families in Action to purchase extracurricular entry signs emphasizing the "Family Friendly" environment of the Orleans Community Schools.

Four signs were purchased with the grant allowing signs to be placed at the entry ways to both the Orleans Jr-Sr High School and the Orleans Elementary School.

The signs spell out the expectations of patrons at extracurricular events and are part of a continuing endeavor of the Orleans Community Schools and the Orleans Police Department to provide a safe and "Family Friendly" environment for our children and citizens to attend school and extracurricular activities
