Nature Programs For Kids, Adults At Bedford Public Library, Jan. 15

(BEDFORD) - Monroe Lake naturalist Jill Vance will present two free public programs on wildlife at Bedford Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

The library is at 1323 K St. Children ages 5 to 12 can drop by the Children's Department anytime between 3:30 and 5 p.m. for "Tracking Turkeys." Kids can learn to recognize tracks and signs that a wild turkey leaves and make a turkey craft to take home.

Adults and older children can attend the 45-minute evening program, which starts at 6 p.m. in the Program Room. During "An Animals' Winter Pantry," Vance will speak about the food collection and storage techniques of the Eastern chipmunk, gray squirrel and blue jay.
