Mitchell Man Arrested On Meth Charge After Traffic Stop

(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested after Lawrence County Police stopped him for a traffic violation Friday afternoon.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, officers stopped 37-year-old Dustin Roberts on Mitchell Road for having a false or fictitious registration and illegal window tint.

During the traffic stop a police K-9 alerted officers that there was possible drugs in the vehicle.

Officers found a white-powdery substance that tested positive for meth.

Roberts was arrested and charged with possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance and was cited for false or fictitious registration.
