Loogootee Man Arrested After Fleeing From Police

(LOOGOOTEE) - A Loogootee man was arrested Monday after he fled from police on an ATV.

According to Loogootee Police Chief Kelly Rayhill, 30-year-old Terry Jones was arrested after an 1 1/2 hour chase.

Martin County Sheriff Deputies and Indiana Conservation Officers assisted in the pursuit.

According to Chief Rayhill, an officer attempted to pull Jones over for passing a school bus when it had stopped with its lights activated and its stop arm out. That is when Jones took off, fleeing from police on the ATV.

Jones is facing charges of criminal recklessness with a motor vehicle, resisting law enforcement in a motor vehicle, aggressive driving and reckless driving.
