(JASONVILLE) - Few details are being released about the body of a man found in front of a Jasonville area home early Wednesday morning.

The Greene County Daily World reports that police are considering the death a possible homicide.

Forensic pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr will perform an autopsy at 8 a.m. this morning at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

The name of the man is not being released at this time.

On New Year's Day, law enforcement officers were investigating a possible homicide in the Jasonville area.

Greene County Coroner Sherri Wilson confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that a body was found on Meridian Street in Jasonville sometime during the night and that Deputy Coroner Dave Drew had been on the scene.

Wilson said the circumstances were suspicious, but offered no other details.

The incident is under investigation and no other information has been released.

This story will be updated when more information can be confirmed.
