Indiana Master Naturalist Course Begins Feb. 6 in Bloomington

(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indiana Master Naturalist course will be offered in Bloomington beginning Feb. 6.

Participants will learn about Indiana's plants, wildlife, geology and geography, meet others with similar interests, and make connections with natural resource professionals.

The course consists of eight Thursday evening classes at Karst Farm Park and two Sunday afternoon field sessions at Monroe Lake.

Each course component is taught by an expert or natural resource professional. A list of session dates, topics and speakers is in the course brochure, available at dnr.IN.gov/parklake/2954.htm.

The course fee is $50 for an individual or $75 for a couple from the same household. Space is limited to 20 people, and the registration deadline is Feb. 3 at 4 p.m. Register by calling Monroe County Parks at (812) 349-2800, or stop by the county parks department office at 501 N. Morton, Suite 100, Bloomington.
