(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County police are investigating a drive by shooting that left a home on South Leatherwood Road riddled with bullet holes.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, officers were called to the area at 10:35 p.m. after a report of shots fired in the area.

"There was damage from gunfire to a home," Craig says. "After interviewing several individuals officers learned a person in a vehicle drove by the home several times and officers believe the shots were fired from that vehicle."

No one was hurt in the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident or the vehicle is asked to call the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.
