Crews Working To Restore Power In Linton

Last updated on Sunday, January 5, 2014

(LINTON) - Crews are working to restore power in Linton.

The outage is on the east side of town in some other areas.

LPD Chief Troy Jerrell said the utility department reported a main transformer blew, and they have crews out working to restore power as soon as possible.

Jerell said the reports were coming in from several different areas of town.

Power outage update issued at 2:40 p.m. from LPD Chief Jerrell:

"Power should be restored within the hour from the information I have just received. Apparently a tree fell on a line and they are cutting it up and removing the debris. If your power is not restored within an hour and a half contact the Police Department, it could be an isolated problem," said Jerrell.

The Linton Police Department can be reached by calling 847-4411.
