(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Tuesday after a woman reported she had been in an argument with him and he allegedly grabbed her around the neck and attempted to strangle her.
Officers were called to the 3100 block of South Walnut St. Pike, at 9:03 p.m. Tuesday. There they arrested 24-year-old Eric Goodman on charges of strangulation, confinement and battery.
Police say the woman called police after Goodman prevented her to leave the apartment. He then grabbed her around the neck and hit her. According to police, at one point, Goodman grabbed her around the neck so hard she could not breathe.
The woman was able to get away and call police; she declined medical treatment.
