(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington's Ivy Tech Community College announced that Former Secretary of State Colin Powell will headline their annual O'Bannon Institute for Community Service's Fundraiser on Thursday, April 24.

On Friday, April 24, Chancellor Emeritus John Whikehart will address the group.

The O'Bannon Institute launched nine years ago is an annual three-day conference for the community to come together to discuss local and national issues.

The O'Bannon Institute is named to honor the legacy of the late Governor Frank O'Bannon, in recognition of the role he played in the formation of Indiana's community college system and in commemoration of his lifetime commitment to community service.
