(BEDFORD) - Bedford woman arrested Tuesday afternoon after officers were called to a home in the 1400 block of Beech Street.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley officers arrived at 1:35 p.m. and found two females and two males in a verbal fight.
"Officers separated the parties and at that time 32-year-old Melinda Bowman reached over the officer and punched the other female and spit on her," Parsley says.
Bowman, who lived at the home, was arrested and charged with battery.
