Bedford Man Arrested After Police Find Meth Lab

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested on drug charges Tuesday night after police found a meth lab.

The Indiana State Police Meth Task Force, along with Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen, went to a home on Tunnelton Road serve a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of strangulation. The task force had also been conducting an ongoing investigation in reference to 20-year-old Conner Morgan manufacturing methamphetamine.

The officers searched the residence and located Morgan along with precursors to manufacture meth and mixed chemicals used to produce meth. Officers found a white powder that field tested positive for meth and other chemicals associated with the manufacturing of the drug. Many of these chemicals had been mixed in what is referred to as the "one pot" method to manufacture meth. A chemical mixture that produces hydrogen chloride gas was also located.

Morgan was arrested on charges of manufacture of methamphetamine, a Class B felony, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture, a Class D felony, possession of meth, a Class D felony, maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony and the warrant for failure to appear on a charge of strangulation.
