(BEDFORD) - The Bedford 13 & 14 year old All Stars in August 2013 earned the right to play in the Junior League World Series. The Central Regional was played in Fort Wayne. After advancing the team then traveled to Taylor, Michigan to play in the finals.
When the 2013 All-Star season began, there were more than 3,600 baseball teams that began district tournament play around the world, and when the dust settled, Bedford was one of just 10 teams left standing at the JLWS.
The Bedford 13&14-year old All-Stars dropped a 9-8 decision to the Czech Republic in a consolation duel after taking a 7-4 lead into the top of the seventh inning as Indiana finished with a 2-3 record at the tournament.
