Wright Certified As Medicolegal Death Investigator

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Deputy Coroner David Wright has been certified as a Medicolegal Death Investigator.

Wright has completed a 40 plus hour training course, an externship program with a board certified forensic pathologist and has passed a state certification exam.

The course provides extensive knowledge in all aspects of death investigation, including forensic knowledge, death scene investigation and the collection and preservation of evidence.

Indiana is the first state in the United States to require that all deputy coroners become certified.
