(MITCHELL) - Winners of Mitchell’s annual lighting contest, sponsored by the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce, have been announced.
Taking First place in the city category is Vicky and Eugene Terrell, at 427 West Brook Street for their varied decorations that included a fishing boat scene, several Santas and music.
Second place was awarded to Michael and Ashley Teague, at 1020 West Brook Street.
The third-place award went to Larry and Rosetta Knight, at 514 West Vine Street.
In the rural category, first place was given to Mark and Susie Kern, at 571 Southridge Drive, who decorated their home with large bulbs, a camping scene and Santa and friends playing on a Noah's ark play set.
Second place was awarded to Gary and Diana Rayhill, at 1844 State Road 60 East.
The third-place award was given to Kevin and Letitia Pemberton, at 817 Parks Implement Road.
