(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are searching for a man who robbed a southside Taco Bell late Saturday night.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Lucas Tate both Bloomington and Monroe County deputies were called to the restaurant on South Walnut Street at 11 p.m.

Tate says a man pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at employees and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident.

The man then ran from the building and was last seen in the area of the former Marsh grocery store at 2424 S. Walnut St.

Officers searched for the man, who was described as being a light-skinned black man with facial hair. Police say the man was wearing a black hat and coat with a hoodie.

Anyone with information about the robbery are asked to call the Bloomington Police Department.
