(OOLITIC) - Oolitic Water Works has issued a precautionary boil order for all customers north of Wiley Park because of repairs to a 10-inch main line.

The order will remain in place until further notice. Oolitic officials do not expect the order to be lifted before Monday because of testing requirements.

All customers in Oolitic are affected. Customers on Oolitic Road could experience pressure loss, but will not be included in the boil order.

Customers are advised to bring all water to a boil and allow it to boil vigorously for two minutes. The water then should cool before using. Customers also are encouraged to consider using bottled water as an alternative.

More information is available by calling the Oolitic Water Works at 275-6813 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
