One Injured After Running Red Light

(BEDFORD) - One woman suffered minor injuries in an accident at Ind. 37 and 16th Street Thursday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, 38-year-old Gina Sullivan was traveling south on Ind. 37 and was turning east onto 16th Street and had the red light and did not have the right of way. 51-year-old Carla Pace was traveling north on Ind. 37.

Sullivan told police she thought she had the green arrow, but was not for sure, but police say Sullivan ran the red light. Three witnesses confirmed that Sullivan ran the red light.

Pace had the green light and was in the left lane when Sullivan pulled her 2002 Chevrolet Malibu into the path of Sullivan's 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Sullivan complained of pain to her elbow and lower arm. Pace was not injured.

Sullivan was cited for disregarding a traffic control device.
