Last updated on Friday, December 13, 2013

(WASHINGTON) - An intoxicated man was found laying in the snow Wednesday afternoon.

According to Washington Police, the Daviess County Sheriff's Department received a 911 around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, reporting two intoxicated men in the front of a home on North East 20th Street in Washington and that one of the men was on the ground, in the snow.

When Washington Police arrived they found Robert Bateman attempting to assist Carroll Houchins off the ground.

Police say both men were "highly intoxicated."

Officers were told that Houchin had been passed out in the snow for about 30 to 45 minutes.

Police say Houchin was in a fetal position and was unable to answer questions.

A Southwest ambulance was called and Houchin was taken to the Daviess Community Hospital for treatment.
