High-Speed Chase Lands Two Men In Jail

(BROWNSTOWN) - A high-speed chase early Wednesday that began south of Brownstown ended with the arrests of two Washington County men in Seymour.

Clay Allen Elkins, 25, of Vallonia, is facing charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of a controlled substance.

Christopher David Benter, 25, also of Vallonia, was charged with possession of marijuana.

The men were arrested after Jackson County Police received a 911 call at 2:53 a.m. Wednesday that there was a speeding vehicle on State Road 135 south of Brownstown.
