Gas Prices On The Rise

Last updated on Tuesday, December 24, 2013

(UNDATED) - If the price of gas is still low where you are, you might want to get some unless you want to pay about 40 cents per gallon more.

Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com says prices are going up mainly because of the Fed's announcement that it was scaling back it's bond-buying program.

DeHaan says most stations will boost gas prices by 30-to-40 cents a gallon, but he says it has nothing to do with the holiday travel season.

Even with the increase, the price of gas is still relatively low historically when you adjust for inflation, and DeHaan says the outlook for the beginning of 2014 is good for low prices.
