Last updated on Monday, December 30, 2013

(DUBOIS CO.) - A Ferdinand woman is facing charges in connection with an accident a week ago today on State Road 64 in Dubois County in which two people were killed.

The Dubois County Free Press reports, 20-year-old Carlisha Dooley was arrested last week on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing a death, two counts of reckless homicide and one count of driving while her driver's license was suspended.

Police say Dooley was driving eastbound on State Road 64 at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her SUV.

The vehicle hit a guardrail, went down an embankment, hit a tree and apparently overturned before coming to a rest on its wheels.

Two passengers, 20-year-old Jessica Morgan of Birdseye and 28-year-old Eric Bureau of Dale were pronounced dead at the scene.

Dooley was treated for injuries at Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville and released.
