Bloomfield Woman Suffers Serious Injures In Crash On State Road 58

(OWENSBURG.) - A Bloomfield woman was airlifted to an Indianapolis Hospital following a Thursday morning crash on State Road 58 near Owensburg.

(OWENSBURG.) - A Bloomfield woman was airlifted to an Indianapolis Hospital following a Thursday morning crash on State Road 58 near Owensburg.

According to a Greene County Sheriff's Department accident report, 25-year-old Kayla S. Davis, of Bloomfield was traveling west on State Road 58 and crossed the center line near Greentuck Drive and struck the driver's side front fender of a 1999 Kenworth semi tractor trailer, driven by 48-year-old Kevin Jones, of Springville.

Davis' car came to rest in a ditch on the north side of the roadway - facing eastbound.

Firefighters from several Volunteer Fire Departments worked together to free Davis from the vehicle. Davis suffered injuries to her left arm, left knee and facial lacerations. She was transported from the scene by AirEvac Life Team to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Jones was not injured.

Assisting Greene County Sheriff Department deputies at the scene were Owensburg-Jackson Township Fire Department, Center Township Fire Department, Taylor Township Fire Department and the Greene County Ambulance Service.
