"Windows Of Wonder" Downtown Window Decorating Contest And Norms Jingle Bell Run

(BEDFORD) - Bedford Revitalization, Lawrence County Extension Office and Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce announce their 3rd Annual “Windows of Wonder” downtown window decorating contest.

Businesses, clubs, and individuals are invited to decorate a window of a downtown business using the 2013 theme - "Sights and Sounds of Christmas."

Existing downtown businesses may decorate their own windows.

The window display must be complete by noon of the Parade Day.

Two winners will be announced at the Bedford Christmas Parade. Entry Forms may be obtained at the Lawrence County Extension Office, Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce or online at www.extension.purdue.edu/lawrence or www.bedfordchamber.com.

Entry deadline is 4 pm on Friday, December 6th.

All entry forms must be submitted to the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce to receive a registration number that must be visible in the window of your display in order to qualify for judging.

Voting takes place at the Lawrence County Purdue Extension office on the south side of the square from 4 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, December 7th.

New this year on Saturday, December 7th is "Norms Jingle Bell Run" which will begin at 5 pm at the corner of 15th & "M" Streets and follow the Parade route.

The course is about 1 mile.

The run is in memory of Norm Taylor who tragically died last year. Entry fee is a suggested donation of $10 and all proceeds will go to The Norm Taylor Scholarship. For more information email j.sowders@comcast.net.
