Last updated on Wednesday, November 27, 2013

(BEDFORD) - Two people suffered minor injures after an accident at the intersection of 16th Street and Plaza Drive Tuesday night.

The accident was reported at 7:54 p.m.

According to a Bedford Police report, 28-year-old David Thoms, of Orleans, was traveling east in a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 on 16th Street and was at the intersection of Plaza Drive.

72-year-old Barbara Nail, of Paoli, was traveling west on 16th Street in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and told police she had the green light to turn.

Nail attempted to turn onto Plaza Drive and turned into the path of Thoms' pickup truck.

Police say Nail seemed confused about her surroundings and could not tell officers what happened.

Police say Nail was at fault in the accident because she failed to yield the right of way.

Thoms was not injured, however his passenger, 37-year-old Chantelle Thoms, of Orleans, complained of hip and upper leg pain. Nail complained of chest pain at the scene of the accident.
