Spencer Woman Dies After Her Motorcycle Was Hit By Intoxicated Driver

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Spencer woman died Sunday night from injuries received in a traffic accident that afternoon west of Bloomington.

49-year-old Larry S. Uland of Solsberry was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in death.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff's Department reports, 51-year-old Tammy M. Hale was traveling east in the 9000 block of West Ind. 48 on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle when a 1997 Chevrolet Venture van driven by 49-year-old Larry S. Uland of Solsberry, who was traveling west, crossed the center line and hit the motorcycle head-on.
