(ORLEANS) - Donations for any amount large or small are being accepted for the Orleans Christmas Light Fund.
Orleans Chamber Exec. Director Robert Henderson says a special "Christmas Light Fund" has been established to help defray some of the ongoing costs involved with the holiday decorations for the historic town park square and the downtown areas.
Donors to the 2013 effort will be recognized in the coming weeks in The Progress Examiner. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at Orleans Town hall.
The decorations will be lit Friday and will remain on throughout the Christmas season.
This year also marks the 4th Annual Christmas on the Square event set for December 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
