North Lawrence And Other Community Schools Receive Grant Money To Improve Safety

(UNDATED) - Schools across Indiana are getting thousands of dollars in grants to improve school safety.

Governor Mike Pence says in total, the secured school safety grant program is giving more than $9-million in grants .
The maximum amount a district can receive is $50,000.

It's a matching grant program so the schools are paying to match the amount they're getting from grants.

North Lawrence Community Schools received $49,968.20 for school security equipment.
