(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he kicked in the door of a home Monday night.
32-year-old Roger Collier, went to the home in the 1900 block of J Street at 6:20 p.m. and demanded to be let in.
When the woman refused, Collier allegedly kicked in the door, injuring the woman.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says the woman was knocked down by the door and suffered an injury to her foot. But she refused to give police a statement.
"Another male at the house said Collier came to the house and wanted in and when he was refused entry he kicked in the door injuring the woman," Parsley says.
Collier then fled the scene and was later stopped by Lawrence County Police officers.
Collier, who has a previous domestic battery conviction, was arrested and charged with domestic battery with a prior conviction.
