(BLOOMINGTON) - A 48-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he entered Kroger and opened a container of beer and started to drink it.
Bloomington Police Department officers were called to the store at 528 South College Avenue at 7:40 a.m. after receiving a report there was a man in the store drinking beer.
Bloomington Lt. John Kovach says when officers arrived they found 48-year-old Steven Weise drinking a Dieselpunk Stout.
Kovach says Weise said that he had no money to pay for the beer.
Weise was arrested and charged with theft.
