(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police have requested an arrest warrant for a 21-year-old Bloomington man after he broke the windshield of a vehicle early Sunday morning.

According to Bloomington Police Lt. John Kovach, officers were called to the 400 block North Clark Street, at 12:40 a.m.

There they found the 21-year-old man allegedly had broken out the windshield and rear passenger-side window of a 1998 Plymouth Breeze and fled the scene.

According to police the man had been in an altercation at a gas station with a 26-year-old man and had ripped off the man's shirt and then walked to North Clark Street where the 26-year-old found the man standing on the hood of his car and hitting it with what appeared to be rock.
