Last updated on Monday, November 11, 2013

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman suffered minor injures after her vehicle was hit in the rear Saturday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Torie Sayers, of 2375 Peerless Rd., was traveling south on Peerless Road and was distracted and drove her 1999 Chevrolet Lumina into the rear of a 2000 Ford ZX2 that had stopped for a vehicle turning into a driveway.

Sayers told police she could not remember if she was looking at her radio or what distracted her.

Tara York, 31, of 1805 O Street, told police she had slowed her vehicle to let a driver in front of her turn into their driveway and that is when her vehicle was hit in the rear.

York complained of knee and lower leg pain.

Sayers was not injured.
