Last updated on Saturday, October 12, 2013

(BLOOMINGTON) - A 35-year-old woman told Bloomington police she may have been sexually assaulted by a 41-year-old male acquaintance.

The woman reported the incident at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, the woman told police that she and her boyfriend allowed the man to stay in their hotel room on the city's north side.

She says she was waken to the man touching her leg and was not certain if she had been assaulted.

After speaking with police, the woman was taken to the hospital to be examined.

Police found the accused man at Monroe County Community Corrections and he voluntarily went to the police station for questioning. Crider say, the man denied inappropriately touching the woman and provided police with a DNA sample.
