Washington Senior And Family Auction Nov. 8

(WASHINGTON) - The Washington Senior and Family Services auction event is slated for Nov. 8 at the Washington Eastside Park Community Building.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the live auction to follow.

The meal will be prepared by Carla's Catering and the auctioneer will be Jay Yagle.

According to Jill Cecil, Senior and Family Services Executive Director, a variety of items will be auctioned off.

There will be a number of sports-related items including a Cody Zeller autographed basketball, local high school sports passes, golf packages, a swim and pizza party, along with many more items suitable for gift giving and/or personal use.

Cecil says new items for the auction are arriving daily and anyone wishing to make a donation may do so by contacting SAFS at 254-1881.

All proceeds from the event go to Senior and Family Services, a not-for-profit agency serving Daviess County and surrounding areas for 40 years.

Senior and Family Services provides a number of programs designed to promote independence while maintaining quality of life for all ages with emphasis on those age 60 and over. These services include: Med X-Press transportation, In-Home attendant care and homemaker services, Adult Day Services, Respite Care, Meals on Wheels Nutrition, four Senior Centers, free tax preparation, and a women's Fitness Center.

Tickets for the Christmas Tailgate Auction Extravaganza are $15 per person or $30 per couple if purchased in advance.

Tickets are available at SAFS, 211 E. Main Street in Washington and at Old National Bank main office on Main Street and at the eastside branch in Washington.

Tickets may be purchased at the door for $18 per person or $35 per couple.
