Two Bedford Men Arrested On Meth Charges

(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford men were arrested after police discovered a meth lab Wednesday.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig officers received a call at 7:55 p.m. about a dark-colored suspicious vehicle parked at the cell phone tower on Woodsferry Road and individuals "messing around" the area.

When police arrived they found 39-year-ol d Victor Murray, and 30-year-old Duane Sharp, both of Bedford.

"While talking to the men officers saw material used in the making of meth," Craig says. "Officers then called in the Lawrence County Drug Task Force."

After further investigation officers discovered a large amount of precursors at the scene and a one-pot meth lab. The Indiana State Police Clandestine team was called to dispose of the lab.

Victor, of 1314 5th St., was charged with possession of meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture meth, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sharp, of 723 Woodsferry Rd., was charged with manufacturing meth, possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture meth, possession of meth and possession of precursors.
