(BEDFORD) - Fall property taxes are due November 12.
Lawrence County Treasurer Paula Stewart reminds taxpayers payments postmarked or made in person after Nov. 12 will automatically incur a penalty.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The courthouse will be closed on Monday, November 11th for Veterans Day.
Taxes can be paid with credit card in the office or by calling 800-809-5849. There is a 2.95 percent fee on all credit card transactions, the company gets the fee, the treasurer receives only the tax amount.
Residents can also pay their taxes on line at www.lawrencetax.net.
The Treasurer's Office will be closed five days following Nov. 12 to process paperwork and will reopen on November 20th.
