Nature Journal Workshop At Paynetown SRA Nov. 17

(PAYNETOWN) - A Nov. 17 workshop at Monroe Lake offers an opportunity to create a leather-bound journal for documenting observations and reflections on nature.

The nature journal workshop at Paynetown State Recreation Area Activity Center starts at 9 a.m. and will last two to three hours. The workshop is recommended for ages 14 and older.

Participants will construct their own journal and learn the basics of nature journaling. The workshop is limited to eight people and cost $15 per person.

Registration is required to the Paynetown Activity Center at (812) 837-9967 byNov. 12.

"As we move into the winter months, many of us spend extra time in observation, contemplation, and reflection," said Jill Vance, Monroe Lake naturalist and workshop leader. "A journal can be a useful tool to help you focus your thoughts and gain new insight into the wonders of the natural world."
