(MARTINSVILLE) - A Morgan County man is in jail after he shot and killed his son Sunday.
David Lewis Carrender, 49, was booked into the Morgan County Jail early Monday morning on a charge of murder, a Class A felony.
According to Morgan County Coroner Annette Rohlman an autopsy will be performed on 19-year-old Wyatt Carrender today.
The shooting occurred at Carrender's home on Crooked Creek Drive around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The Morgan County Sheriff's Department received a 911 reporting a person had been shot.
Deputies and Indiana State Police troopers arrived at the scene where they found Wyatt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say the shooting was during a domestic dispute.
