Last updated on Friday, October 25, 2013

(BLOOMFIELD) - A 34-year-old Linton woman was arrested after she was stopped by a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy when he noticed her tail light was out.

Deputy Dustin Cain discovered she was wanted on a warrant and then found drugs in her car.

Brandy Jean Wilkes was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear in court in Knox County for driving while intoxicated.

She now is facing charges of possession of meth and possession of a controlled schedule IV controlled substance, alprozolam, both class D felonies, and possession of paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.

Cain found the drugs while he was doing an inventory of her vehicle. Wilkes admitted the items were hers.
