Last updated on Friday, October 11, 2013

(CROTHERSVILLE) - The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department continues to look for a man driving a red truck after an attempted child abduction occurred on Armstrong Street in Crothersville.

About 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 12-year-old girl walking home alone after school was approached by a man driving what was described as a red, late-model pickup truck with a red, hard bed cover.

Reserve Officer Scott Davis says the truck, which may have been a Ford F-100, pulled over next to the child in the 300 block of South Armstrong Street and the driver asked her if she needed a ride.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at 812-358-2141.
