(GOOSE POND) - Indiana Conservation Officers and volunteer instructors will hold a certification course in Trapper Education.
The class will be held at the Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area check station on November 5th and 6th, from 6pm to 9pm, both evenings.
The class if free and anyone can attend.
Those wishing to attend will need to pre-register at http://www.register-ed.com/events/view/37066 as soon as possible.
Instruction in the course includes the history of trapping, trapping rules and ethics, trap sets and proper trap placement. A portion of the class will be spent in the field, where instructors will demonstrate the different types of trap sets and how they are used.
Those completing the course will receive a certificate of completion. Some states require this certificate of completion in order to purchase a trapping license.
