(BLOOMINGTON) - A fire caused extensive damaged to a vacant house in the 400 block of West Second Street near IU Health Bloomington Hospital Saturday afternoon.
Bloomington Fire Department firefighters were called to the home at 1:27 p.m. The house is owned by IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Bedford Fire Department Sgt. Jeremy Goad says there was extensive damage to the ground floor and minor damage to the second floor.
Goad says the fire started on the first floor and the cause is still under investigation.
Firefighters were on scene until 4 p.m.
