Dubois Man Injured After He Fell From Tree Stand

(DUBOIS) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investing an incident that injured a hunter Sunday at approximately 12:07 p.m.

According to Indiana Conservation Officer Tony Mann, 57-year-old Timothy Emmons, of rural Dubois, was in the process of taking down a ladder stand, when the ladder buckled throwing Emmons to the ground.

Emmons fell approximately 20 feet.

Emmons' girlfriend, who was present at the scene, went to a nearby home to call 911.

Dubois Volunteer Fire Dept. first responders responded to the scene, found Emmons and transported him out of the woods to a waiting Jasper Memorial Hospital ambulance.

Emmons was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of back injuries.

Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted at the scene by Dubois Volunteer Fire Dept, and Jasper Memorial Hospital Emergency Service.
