(DUBOIS CO.) - The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says a Dubois County man died in a riding lawn mower accident Friday.

Conservation officers say 73-year-old Linus Bauer of Dubois was cutting grass when his lawnmower slid on wet soil, went down an embankment, overturned and pinned him in a small ditch with about three inches of water in it.

Authorities say Bauer began mowing around Noon and was found by a family member around 4:30 pm.

The cause of death is undetermined at this time and the accident remains under investigation.
